Despite giving up 14 points in the fourth quarter the Rebels hung onto their sixth win of the season beating their Island rival.

The Rebels defence forced an incredible nine turnovers.  Hayden Crothers, Jeffroy Ojong and Harrison Kuromi each picked off a pass and Austin Morgan recovered a pair of fumbles.

Both Rebels touchdowns came on the ground when Zach Lubin and Torin Keoughan each scored.

The Raiders had one bad quarter which was the third as they give up 12 points.  They did manage all 14 of their points in the fourth quarter however, but it wasn’t enough without veteran quarterback Jake Lebarge.

Like the Rebels, both Raiders scores came courtesy of the ground game.  Andre Goulbourne was a force with 126 yards on 15 carries and scored a touchdown.  Keagen Henderson also scored on the ground.

This coming weekend the Rebels (6-2) will welcome the Kamloops Broncos (0-8) while the Raiders (4-4) travel to face the Okanagan Sun (4-4).

The Huskers recorded their first home win of the season thanks to 252 yards through the air.  Quarterback Reid Vankoughnett threw a pair of touchdown passes to Brandon Poulin.  In all Vankoughnett and Logan McDonald completed 20 passes to 10 different receivers.

Kicker Ethen Homan also added to the scoring connecting on all three field goal attempts.

The Broncos offence moved the ball and outgained the Huskers offence with 294 total yards. Their lone touchdown came on a Nicholas Nica pass to Garrett Kryanowski in the second quarter.  Kryanowski had an outstanding game making six receptions for 110 yards and that touchdown.

Defensively despite giving up 30 points, the Broncos collected eight sacks including three by Brett Holmes.
