A pair of lopsided shutouts in the OFC

Windsor AKO Fratmen 26
GTA Grizzlies 0

The Fratmen struggled early on, but seem to find their groove in the second quarter scoring 20 of their 26 points in that frame.

Offensively Colton Allen completed nine passes for 137 yards and threw three touchdowns.  Back-up Daniel Mailloux got in the mix as well completing eight passes for 78 yards and threw a touchdown.  Six different receivers caught balls and four of them caught touchdown passes.  Branden McCaraney, Cody Holmes, Jared Hayes-Williams and Michael Ryan each had a  major.

On the ground Nash Preiur carried a game high 18 times for 118 yards.

The Frat defence records the shutout holding the Grizzlies to just 72 net offensive yards. Dalmas Lynch and Kaleb Hellreich each picked off passes.  Blake Ouellette recorded the lone sack.

The Grizzlies struggled to get their offence rolling despite their sharp new uniforms.

This weekend the Grizzlies (0-1) will welcome the Niagara Regional Raiders (0-1) on Sunday afternoon.

London Beefeaters 72
Niagara Regional Raiders 0

What a debut for the new Beefeaters head coach Jesse Maddox.  They completely dominated tallying 571 yards of total offence compared to just 23 yards for the Raiders.

On the ground Tazie Vang-Bell had a pair of touchdowns, but Felix Noel was outstanding with nine carries for 147 yards and a touchdown.  In all the Beefeaters rushed for 374 yards and scored five touchdowns.   Then five more touchdown passes were thrown and the Beefeaters didn’t miss a pass finishing 10-10 for 204 yards.

This coming weekend the Beefeaters (1-0) host the Hamilton Hurricanes (1-0) on Saturday afternoon and the Raiders (0-1) will be in the GTA to face the Grizzlies (0-1) on Sunday afternoon.
