One of the most dominating linebackers across the CJFL played his final game in 2018 for the Edmonton Huskies.  Jassen Brown was an impact player each time he took the field in the Prairie Conference over the past five seasons.

During his rookie campaign in 2014 Brown made his presence felt immediately making 17 tackles, had three sacks, had a knockdown and recovered a fumble and rushed 24 yards for a touchdown.  Since then he’s grown into an outstanding all-around player and was named the CJFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2017 with 42 tackles, six assisted tackles, 1.5 sacks, a knockdown, a forced fumble and an interception.

In this final season (2018) he helped led the Huskies to the Prairie Conference title game for the first time since 2006.  He collected 34 tackles, three assists, had a pair of sacks, a fumble recovery and an interception during the regular season.  In the Conference final he recorded four solo tackles and assisted on seven others.

He served all five seasons of CJFL eligibility in Edmonton with the Huskies and the CJFL salutes Jassen Brown for his five years of service and wish him the best of luck in the next chapter of life.
