Despite an incredible 509 yards of total offence from the Hamilton Hurricanes, the Windsor AKO Fratmen clinched the Ontario Conference title with a 34-20 victory.

The Fratmen wasted little time in the championship game scoring 17 points in the opening quarter on the strength of two rushing touchdowns from quarterback Brandon Reaume.  In all he would score four touchdowns on the ground rushing 14 times for 88 yards.  Through the air he finished with eight completions for 233 yards.  His favourite target was Ben Dagousse who caught three balls for 118 yards.

Their defence forced five turnovers and tallied five sacks.

The Hurricanes offence was led by their passing game.  Quarterback Jake Marquette set a new CJFL playoff record for completions and attempts finishing the Conference final 36 of 52 for 468 yards and threw a touchdown pass to Brandon Bettencourt.  He also scrambled four times for 36 yards and a score.

The Fratmen win the Ontario Conference for the fourth time under head coach Mike LaChance who will now face the only other head coach in the CJFL with more experience coaching junior football and that’s Tom Sargeant and the Saskatoon Hilltops in the 110th Canadian Bowl.  The Fratmen will host the Hilltops on November 11th at Alumni Field.
