With just three games to go in the CJFL season, Khari Joseph of the Langley Rams has stepped down as the head coach citing personal reasons.

He was in his second season as the Rams head coach compiling a record of 10-7.  That said he was a member of the Rams coaching staff since 2012, helping their defence to be one of the most feared in the BC Conference as the club’s defensive coordinator.  With their strong “D” the Rams won a pair of Conference titles and hosted the Canadian Bowl in 2012 and 2014.

In an interview with the Langley Times Joseph said the reason for his departure was, “Partially personal, the other part due to not seeing eye-to-eye with people in the organization.”  He does hope to return to the coaching staff one day, “I just have to figure some stuff out and make sure everything is OK before I come back.”

In the interim Jeff Alamolhoda returns to the head coaching role after coming back to the team this year as the defensive coordinator.  Alamolhoda was the head coach from 2011-2015, leading the club to their Canadian Bowl appearances.

The Rams (4-3) will host the Westshore Rebels (6-1) on Saturday afternoon at 4:00pm.
