The GTA Grizzlies finished fourth last year in the Ontario Conference and made the playoffs, despite scoring just 95 points in eight games.

On the defensive side the Grizzlies have the talent and will look to be better than their 27.6 points per game a year ago.  One of the players that will be relied upon is Patrick Jones.

The Toronto native could see time on both the offensive and defensive lines in 2017 as he enters his second season.  However defence is where the Grizzlies will hope Jones develops into one of the best in the country.

He has the quickness and size to be a dominate force at 6’3 and 240 pounds.  His knowledge of the offensive line, will no doubt help him reads cues on the field so that he can be successful on the D-Line.

With just one credited sack in his rookie campaign last season, Jones will need to up his game in order to lead the defence and cause havoc in the backfield of the opposition.

The Grizzlies open their new season on August 20 when they host the London Beefeaters at Centennial Stadium.
