The CJFL’s Past Commissioner’s award is given out each year to one player that shows tremendous dedication to giving back to his community. In 2016 a number of teams have participated in their communities and got involved with many charities.
The Edmonton Wildcats outreach program has proved to be a leader in the CJFL and Jonathan Harke becomes the third straight Wildcat to be honoured with this award. The offensive lineman volunteered at the Edmonton Food Bank, the John Howard Youth Society, Special Olympics, the Hope Mission, and Big Brothers, Big Sisters. He has spent countless hours interacting with others in the Edmonton area, in some cases giving hope to people who are less fortunate.
He speaks with Ryan Watters about his motivation for giving back.
