The best performances from the Prairie Conference semi-finals

The CJFL is proud to announce the Players of the Week from the Prairie Conference semi-finals.

Offensive Player of the Week

RB Logan Fischer – Saskatoon Hilltops
The ground game was an important tool for the Hilltops win over the Regina Thunder in an exciting semi-final match-up.  The PFC All-Star had 14 carries for 63 yards and scored a touchdown. Coming out of the backfield he made six receptions for 81 yards.    Add a pair of punt returns and two kick-off returns and Fischer tallied 199 all-purpose yards.

Defensive Player of the Week

LB Colton Burr – Calgary Colts
In a low scoring semi-final the Colts defence held the Edmonton Huskies high powered offence to just 10 points.  Burr was all over the field making 10 solo tackles, assisted on four others and had a knockdown.

Special Teams Player of the Week

DL Riley Pickett – Saskatoon Hilltops
Pickett helped hold back the dangerous Thunder return game with two special teams tackles and assisted on three others.

The two CJFL Canadian Bowl Conference finals go this weekend.  First in the BC Conference where the #1 Westshore Rebels host the #2 Okanagan Sun on Saturday at 4:00pm in the Cullen Cup, followed by the Prairie Conference final on Sunday as the #1 Saskatoon Hilltops welcome the #2 Calgary Colts at 1:00pm.
