The CJFL Championship Series in the Prairies open up

For the 22nd time the Thunder face the Hilltops in the post season as the Toppers begin their quest for a Canadian Bowl three-peat.  The Hilltops have won the five of the last six playoff meetings, but the Thunder have won 13 of the previous 21 meetings.  The Thunder are the last team to beat the Hilltops in the playoffs (2013).  This season the Hilltops swept the seasonal series, but won both games by a combined six points.

For just the second time in playoff history the Colts and Huskies match-up.  The first was in 2001 and the Huskies claimed lopsided win.  These clubs met twice during the regular season, each team winning at home.  The Huskies are the hotter of the two entering the CJFLC Championship Series, winners of five straight while the Colts have lost two in a row.  The Colts are hoping to fill a section of McMahon Stadium with a loud passionate fan base.
