BCFC Offensive All-Stars

The best offensive players in the BCFC have been named

The Canadian Junior Football League in conjunction with the BC Conference are proud to announce the 2016 Offensive All-Stars.

There are five positional categories and the first place Westshore Rebels led the Conference with five All-Stars followed by three players from the Langley Rams.

The 2016 BCFC Offensive All-Stars are:

Offensive Line:

Michele Vecchio – Okanagan Sun (third consecutive year)
Quinn Horton – Okanagan Sun
Christian Krause – Westshore Rebels
Aarmin Purewall – Westshore Rebels
Chae Faickney – Langley Rams

Running Backs:

Jamel Lyles – Westshore Rebels – He won the BCFC rushing crown and set a new BCFC single season record for yards.  He carried the rock 187 times* for 1604 yards* and 15 touchdowns*
Nathan Berg – VI Raiders – 170 carries for 930 yards and 9 touchdowns

Receivers:

Dustin Rodriguez – VI Raiders – 51 receptions* for 941 yards* and 4 touchdowns
Khalik Johnson – Langley Rams – 43 receptions for 711 yards and 4 touchdowns
Mike West (pictured) – Valley Huskers – 44 receptions for 693 yards and 6 touchdowns
Nathaniel Pinto – Westshore Rebels – 20 receptions for 601 yards and 7 touchdowns*

Quarterback:

Ashton MacKinnon – Westshore Rebels – 65 of 122 for 1218 yards, 10 touchdowns, a 53% completion percentage, 6 interceptions and a 94.9% passer efficiency rating

Place Kicker:

Tiernan Docherty – Langley Rams – His 24* made field goals set a new BCFC single season record and is tied for second in CJFL history. He had the longest field goal in the Conference in 2016 of 51 yards.

The BC Conference is preparing for the 2016 CJFL Canadian Bowl Championship Series.  On Saturday the top ranked Westshore Rebels (8-1-1) host the fourth seeded VI Raiders (5-4-1) at 7:00pm, then on Sunday the second seeded Okanagan Sun (7-3) welcome the third seeded Langley Rams (6-4) at 1:00pm.
