Offensive Players of the Week

PFC:
QB Brad Launhardt – Edmonton Huskies

He was a one man wrecking crew leading the Huskies to their first win this season, blasting their cross town rivals.  Launhardt accounted for 462 yards of total offensive himself.  He completed 27 passes for 292 yards and a touchdown, while also running for 170 yards on 12 carries with a major.

BCFC:
RB Jamel Lyles – Westshore Rebels

For the third time this season Lyles is named the Offensive Player of the Week.  He has been dominating on the ground this year and this past weekend was no different as he carried 25 times for 272 yards and scored two touchdowns.  He also caught a pair of passes out of the backfield for 17 yards.  Along with his punt return yardage, Lyles gained over 300 all-purpose yards for the third time this season, tying a BCFC record with Andrew Harris (2009).

Defensive Players of the Week

PFC:
LB Cameron Schnitzler – Saskatoon Hilltops

Despite the loss, Schnitzler was the best defender on the field for the Hilltops against the Calgary Colts.   He made six solo tackles, had three assists and had a sack.

BCFC:
DB Jordan Angove – Kamloops Broncos

He is quietly becoming one of the best defensive backs in the BCFC.  This past weekend Angove intercepted his CJFL leading sixth pass to compliment his six solo tackles and knockdown.  He’s on pace to make 10 interceptions this season which would set a Broncos team record.

Special Teams Players of the Week

PFC
K/P Stephen Fabian – Calgary Colts

He played a key role in the Colts road win in Saskatoon.  Fabian booted a pair of field goals (37 & 39) and was perfect on four converts, accounting for 10 of the Colts 36 points.  He also got the Colts out of trouble with nine punts averaging 39.3 yards along with his five kick-offs for 258 yards.

BCFC:
K/P Tiernan Docherty – Langley Rams

For the fourth time this season Tiernan Docherty has been the best Special Teams player in the BCFC.  In the Rams 15-10 loss, he accounted for all 10 points, connecting on three of his four field goal attempts, his longest from 47 yards out.  The field goal he missed sailed out of the endzone for a single.  He also tallied 10 punts, averaging 34.7 yards.
