A quick look back at this weekend's games in the BC Conference 

Westshore Rebels 54
Valley Huskers 21

The Rebels once again dominated on both sides of the ball to remain undefeated with a big victory over the visiting Huskers.  They scored 33 points in the first half and didn’t look back while their defence held the visitors to 145 totals yards, 24 of them on the ground. 

Speaking of this Rebels defence, they were incredible recording nine sacks.  Both Cody McMahon and Demar Hohnstein each had 2.5 and Praise Odogun collected a pair.  They forced eight turnovers including two interceptions. 

Offensively it was just another day at the office for quarterback Te Jessie.  He completed 18 passes for 276 yards and four more touchdowns finding Cairo Berry twice, along with Zion Brown and CJ Vincent once.  Vincent had a nice game of four catches for 121 yards and the score.   Meanwhile on the ground, Gerren Hardisty ran 15 times for 154 yards and two touchdowns.

The Huskers game changed early on when quarterback Tyran Duval was hurt and didn’t return.  In his absence, Lucas Feaver threw a pair of touchdowns finding TJ Robertson and Josh Caverly.   Robertson also rushed for a major. 

Next week the Rebels (6-0) will host the VI Raiders (0-6), while the Huskers (4-2) lick their wounds during a bye week.

Okanagan Sun 68
VI Raiders 22

Saturday night the Okanagan Sun honoured the women and men that have been fighting the wildfires in the area with a special fundraising night helping the BC Burn Fund and gave the packed house plenty to cheer about. 

They scored 24 points in the first quarter and went on to the lopsided victory. Their offensive running attack galloped for 270 yards led by Aidan Wieberg and his three touchdowns on 12 carries and 130 yards.  Adam Rocha and Tristen Peddle also scored touchdowns on the ground. 

Through the air Kenny Williams and Josh Guenther each hauled in touchdown passes. 

Ethan Marshall returned a kick-off 88 yards for a touchdown and defensively Romario Reid had a 14-yard pick-six.

All of the Raiders offence was the combination of Ben Chomolok and Paul Romanoff.  Chomolok completed 24 passes for 220 yards and those three scores to his leading receiver. 

Next week the Sun (4-1) will visit the Kamloops Broncos (0-5) and the Raiders (0-6) will visit the Westshore Rebels (6-0).

Langley Rams 62
Prince George Kodiaks 0

The Rams blasted the Kodiaks gaining 506 yards of total offence, compared to just 34 for the visiting Kodiaks. 

Defensively the Rams forced six turnovers and generated two touchdowns.  Sean Cullen returned an interception 35 yards for a score and Howard Jiao picked up a fumble and rumbled 20 yards the other way for a major. 

On the ground Kairo Hassan rushed 17 times for 109 yards and had two touchdowns offensively.  Both Trey Jones and Max Bougie threw a pair of touchdowns finding Broxx Comia twice and Isaiah Edwards and Isaiah Andersen once.  

Next week the Rams (3-2) and Kodiaks (2-3) will meet in the second half of the home and home, but this time in Prince George.
