The team to deliver thrilling pregame in Quinte

The skies will come alive with an extraordinary spectacle at the Quinte Skyhawks game on Saturday, September 2nd at Loyalist College. The distinguished Canadian Armed Forces Parachute Team, famously known as the SkyHawks, will take center stage - or rather, centre sky - in a pregame aerial performance before the game against the visiting Ottawa Sooners. This captivating pregame aerial performance will certainly elevate the entire game day experience to new heights.

Quinte’s team name "Skyhawks" was chosen after meticulous consideration that was focused on having a deep connection to the region. Adding to the significance, the Canadian Armed Forces Parachute Team, also known as ‘the SkyHawks,’ is headquartered just a short distance away in Trenton. Their endorsement of Quinte’s use of the name is a testament to the strong ties between the club and the community.

Peter Gabriel, President of the Skyhawks, expressed his excitement leading into Saturday, stating, "to actually have the parachute team that we are named after join us on our field of play will be a moment etched in time that will not soon be forgotten."

When reflecting on the upcoming collaboration, Gabriel was extremely thankful that the parachute team's willingness to be included in their community. According to Gabriel, community is very important to them. "Community is everything to the organization, and to have the SkyHawks parachute team with us on game day is going to be an exciting moment for the organization."

Around 1 p.m. all eyes will look to the skies. While  as the Skyhawks Parachute Team will descend onto centre field to deliver the commemorative game ball. This meeting between the Skyhawks football team and the SkyHawks parachute team promises to be an unforgettable spectacle for players, coaches, families, and the entire community.

The game being played against the Ottawa Sooners also adds a layer of significance to the pregame performance. It seems almost fitting that the Canadian Armed Forces Parachute Team will perform at a game where the team, named after them, faces off against the Sooners, representing Canada’s capital city.
